Curry out Saturday with groin strain

Stephen Curry has a mild to moderate left groin strain and will miss the Warriors’ home game against the Nets on Saturday night.

Curry underwent an MRI exam Friday, but the Warriors will wait a few days to determine the severity of the injury. Coach Steve Kerr said it doesn’t appear to be significan­t. The two-time league MVP was hurt midway through the third quarter of Thursday night’s 134-111 loss to the Bucks.

Draymond Green also will sit Saturday, the second straight game he’ll be out with a sprained right foot and toe.

■ Joel Embiid scored 16 of his 42 points in the fourth quarter to help the 76ers beat the Hornets 133-132 in OT on Friday night in Philadelph­ia. Embiid also finished with 18 rebounds, and hit a tying 3-pointer with 34.4 seconds to go in regulation . ... Andre Drummond had 23 points and 11 rebounds, Stanley Johnson added a season-high 22 points and the Pistons beat the Hawks 124-109 in Atlanta. The Pistons jumped out to a big lead with 40 points in the first quarter and finished the game with 20 3-pointers.
