Nominations for children’s council sought
If you’re interested in providing leadership, advocacy and resources necessary to enhance children’s lives, and you’re a Broward County resident, then the Broward County Board of County Commissioners is interested in you.
Applications are being accepted from residents who want to be nominated to serve on the Children’s Services Council of Broward County. The CSC mission is to empower children to become responsible, productive adults through collaborative planning and funding of a continuum of quality care. The organization funds programs that serve children and families, advocates for policies that protect the interests of future generations, and provides leadership that brings the childserving community together.
Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Dec. 7.
To be considered, interested individuals must meet the following eligibility requirements: Be a resident of Broward County for the previous 24-month period, be a registered voter, and have no affiliation with any agency funded by the Children’s Services Council.
The application consists of two parts: Broward County Questionnaire, and Questionnaire for Gubernatorial Appointments. Both questionnaires must be completed and submitted together. Each application is available to download at bit.ly/2qOX9h7 and bit.ly/2TgJSLy
