- Christy Cabrera Chirinos

When, where: 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens TV: ESPN Weather: 83 degrees, 10 percent chance of rain Online: sun-sentinel.com/um; @ChristyChirinos on Twitter Quick slant: The Hurricanes, who have endured a disappointing season filled with ups and downs, are looking to send their seniors out on a positive note with a win over Pittsburgh in their home finale. Miami is also looking to avenge a 24-14 loss to the Panthers last season. The Hurricanes have won 10 of their last 12 games against Pittsburgh dating back to 1998. About Pittsburgh (7-4, 6-1 ACC): The Panthers clinched the ACC’s Coastal Division crown last week and enter Saturday’s game riding a four-game win streak, including a 34-13 win over Wake Forest last week. Quarterback Kenny Pickett, who made his first career start last year in last year’s game against Miami, has thrown for 1,695 yards and 15 touchdowns while Qadree Ollison has rushed for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns. About Miami (6-5, 3-4): The Hurricanes snapped a four-game losing streak with a 38-14 win over Virginia Tech last week that was one of their better all-around efforts all season. Quarterback N’Kosi Perry, in his third road start, was 21-of-34 for 171 yards with two touchdowns and Cam Davis had a game-high 77 rushing yards. Three things to watch

■ Between Ollison (1,106 yards) and Darrin Hall (888 yards), the Panthers have one of the topthree rushing attacks in the ACC. The Hurricanes are No. 3 in the ACC in run defense. Something might have to give.

■ Last week, the Hurricanes managed to flip field position with some strong special teams play. But they’ll be without punt returner Jeff Thomas, who was dismissed from the team. Can the Hurricanes overcome the loss?

■ The Hurricanes have said, once they were eliminated from the Coastal Division race, that they were motivated to play for their seniors, secure a bowl berth and finish the season out on a positive note. But Thomas’ departure has put a damper on things, and some players are upset he’s gone, or that theyhaven’t played enough. Can Miami overcome the drama?
