CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE RESOLUTION NO. 18-221

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, RESCHEDULING THE JULY 2, 2019, AND OCTOBER 1, 2019, CONFERENCE AND REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, TO JULY 9, 2019, AND OCTOBER 2, 2019, RESPECTIVELY, AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION, RESCISSION OF CONFLICTING RESOLUTION PROVISIONS, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-26 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, meetings of the City Commission are to be held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month; and WHEREAS, Section 2-26 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, further provides that “at any meeting the commission may, by resolution, reschedule commission meeting dates to dates other than as established in this section, provided that the resolution so adopted is published in the official newspaper of the city once at least three (3) days before the date so fixed”; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission of the City of Fort Lauderdale to reschedule its Conference and Regular Meetings of July 2, 2019, to July 9, 2019, and its Conference and Regular Meetings of October 1, 2019, to October 2, 2019; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the scheduled July 2, 2019, Conference and Regular Meetings of the City Commission of the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, are hereby rescheduled to July 9, 2019, commencing at 1:30 p.m. Public hearings, ordinances, resolutions, and motions shall be heard commencing at 6:00 p.m. on July 9, 2019. SECTION 2. That the scheduled October 1, 2019, Conference and Regular Meetings of the City Commission of the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, are hereby rescheduled to October 2, 2019, commencing at 1:30 p.m. Public hearings, ordinances, resolutions, and motions shall be heard commencing at 6:00 p.m. on October 2, 2019. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall publish this resolution once in the official newspaper of the City at least three (3) days before July 2, 2019. SECTION 4. That any resolution or part of a resolution in conflict herewith be, and is hereby rescinded to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 5.
