CITY OF PARKLAND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City Commission for the City of Parkland will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at the Parkland City Hall, 6600 University Drive, Parkland, Florida 33067 to consider the FIRST READING of Ordinance Number 2018-020 as described below:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF PARKLAND LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE BY AMENDING SEC. 5-3530, “TERMS DEFINED,” TO INCLUDE A DEFINITION OF VACATION RENTALS AND TRANSIENT OCCUPANTS; CREATING ARTICLE 155 ENTITLED, “VACATION RENTALS”; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY AND FINDINGS OF FACT; IMPOSING REGULATIONS ON VACATION RENTALS AND TRANSIENT OCCUPANCIES; PROVIDING FOR REGISTRATION, AND LIFE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING FOR REVOCATION OF A CERTIFICATE OF USE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CITY CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Copies of all documents pertaining to the proposed ordinance can be obtained from the City of Parkland City Clerk, located at 6600 University Drive Parkland, Florida, 33067 weekdays between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Notice: Any interested parties may appear at this meeting and be heard. Please be advised that anyone choosing to appeal any decision with respect to any matter discussed by the City Commission will need a record of the proceedings; and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. All appeals must be filed in accordance with the applicable provisions of the City of Parkland.
