■ Rangers: RHP Shawn Kelley, 35, learned that two lumps removed from his throat last week were benign, and he was activated from the 10-day injured list. The lumps were removed Thursday. Kelley, who doesn’t use tobacco, had reported discomfort when talking and when rolling over while in bed. Kelley is 3-0 with two saves and a 1.29 ERA in 14 games in his first season with the Rangers . ... SS Elvis Andrus and OF Scott Heineman were sent to Double-A Frisco for rehab assignment­s.

■ Brewers: NL MVP Christian Yelich was scratched from the lineup against the Reds because of back spasms. Yelich leads the major leagues with 19 home runs and is batting .325 with 41 RBIs in 44 games, including 42 starts. He has missed parts of seven games because of back problems. Ben Gamel replaced Yelich in right field.

■ Nationals: The team placed RHP Jeremy Hellickson on the 10-day injured list with a strained shoulder and added newly signed RHP Javy Guerra to the 40-man roster and activated him. RHP Kevin McGowan signed a minorleagu­e deal and will report to Triple-A Fresno. Hellickson has struggled this season, with a 6.23 ERA through eight starts.

■ Dodgers: RHP Julio Urias was reinstated from administra­tive leave by MLB. Urias was placed on leave while MLB officials looked into his May 13 arrest for investigat­ion of misdemeano­r domestic battery.

■ Angels: SS Andrelton Simmons landed on the injured list after he sprained his left ankle during a loss to the Twins. He suffered a grade 3 ankle sprain when he tried to beat out an infield hit during the eighth inning. INF Luis Rengifo was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake . ... DH Shohei Ohtani was hit in the right ring finger while swinging on a third strike Monday but was in the lineup Tuesday.

■ Mariners: The team placed 2B Dee Gordon and 3B Ryon Healy on the 10-day injured list and signed RHP Anthony Bass to a one-year contract with a $950,000 salary while in the major leagues. Gordon has a bruised right wrist and Healy lower back inflammati­on. The Mariners selected the contract of LHP Tommy Milone from Triple-A Tacoma and 2B Shed Long was recalled from Tacoma.

■ Extra innings: The traditiona­l rivalry between the Yankees and Red Sox will take a radical twist when they meet in London on June 29-30: They will play on artificial turf for the first time in more than 2,200 games over a century. Starting June 6, gravel will be placed over the covering protecting West Ham’s grass soccer pitch and the running track that is a legacy from the 2012 Olympics. The artificial turf baseball field, similar to modern surfaces used by a few big league clubs, will be installed atop that . ...
