Data obtained by ABC News from President Donald Trump’s first internal campaign poll from March showed him losing to former Vice President Joe Biden by seven points in Florida and by double digits in other key states.

In the polling, conducted from March 15 to 28, Trump trailed Biden in Pennsylvania 55% to 39% and in Wisconsin 51% to 41%. The president also only had a 2-point lead in the GOP stronghold of Texas, ABC reported.

ABC did not report the exact numbers each candidate received in Florida, and did not obtain the campaign poll’s matchups against other Democratic candidates.

The Trump campaign confirmed to ABC that the data was accurate, but said the polls were old and recent polls have seen large swings in Trump’s favor.

“These leaked numbers are ancient, in campaign terms, from months-old polling that began in March before two major events had occurred: the release of the summary of the Mueller report exonerating the President, and the beginning of the Democrat candidates defining themselves with their far-left policy message,” Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale told ABC News in a statement, claiming that new internal polls showed Trump leading in Florida by 8.

The data from those polls, which tied Democrats to issues such as illegal immigration, was not released,

That confirmation by the campaign that the internal poll numbers were accurate contradicts recent statements by the president, who had called the reports “phony polling information” and said “those polls don’t exist.”

“They reported Fake numbers that they made up & don’t even exist,” Trump later tweeted.

Trump is kicking off his 2020 campaign in Orlando on Tuesday.

Biden also visited Central Florida recently, taking in $1.7 million at a May fundraiser at the Lake Mary home of Orlando attorney John Morgan.
