Chefs and restaurants in South Florida are gearing up to offer gourmands a foodie fix with live streaming and video channels with cooking tuturials, designed specifically for their culinary fans who can’t leave home because of COVID-19.
So here is a list of what’s available now, but keep coming back this week because we’ve heard that a few high profile names in the restaurant biz are gearing up some projects right now.
Lenore Nolan-Ryan World Class Catering and Cooking School

Chef Nolan-Ryan is accustomed to giving culinary instruction since her eatery (free delivery throughout Fort Laudedale) is, as you can tell from the title, a cooking school. Going forward those classes will be limited in size with lots of added protocols such as gloves and hand sanitization. But you can also check out her online cooking classes, which she will start posting on Friday, March 20. The online classes will include: The Perfect Omelets, A-Z Vegetables, Parchment Paper Cooking — Fish/Shellfish/ Chicken, Vegetables, Desserts, The Art of Vinaigrettes, The Art of Sauces, The Art of Technique — Saute/Braise/Steam/ Roast/Broil/Poach, I Love Shrimp, Thrill of the Grill, Wok with Me, Fresh Fruit Crumble and Baked Chocolate Pudding.

Executive chef Jorge Montes and his sister, Vanessa, started Roho Kitchen in 2008. The family-owned business specializes in cooking classes for team-building experiences and private groups. Their Homemade Chefs public cooking group has over 6,000 members. In light of the coronavirus pandemic, the Montes’ have stepped up their postings on Instagram, live streaming services Facebook
