Colin Hugh McCabe
Colin Hugh McCabe, 39, of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away Thursday evening, March 16, 2023. Born Sunday January 29th, 1984 at Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre, NY Colin grew up in New Rochelle, New York. He attended New Rochelle Public Schools graduating from New Rochelle High School May, 2002. He received his BBA in Accounting from the University at Albany in 2006 Graduating Cum Laude. Colin was an avid athlete all his life. He played baseball in the New Rochelle Little League and football for New Rochelle Youth Tackle Football. He played varsity Baseball and Football for New Rochelle High School.
Colin met the love of his life Erica in 2007. They started dating in 2009. Colin moved to Boynton Beach, Florida in February, 2012 and later began working for Randy Smith at Heritage Flooring. Erica followed Colin to Florida in January, 2013. They married May 6,2017. Colin and Erica have two beautiful sons, Colin Mark (5) and Gavin Eric (18 months).
In addition to Erica, Colin and Gavin Colin will be loved and remembered forever by his parents Mark and Beth, his Brother and Best Friend Brian and Brian’s wife
Kim, his sisters, Emily and Maura, his Grandmother Irene Girvan and his Mother-In-Law Ana Reinki. Colin has many, many Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and friends who loved him deeply and are devastated by his passing.
Colin was a handsome, charming person. He was full of life and joy and everyone gravitated towards him. He was the most incredible human being and put a smile on everyone’s face. He loved his family more than anything in this world. He was the center of their universe. He left us the most beautiful gifts in the world, Colin and Gavin and gave them the gift of brotherhood.
Colin will be waked at the Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, 599 NE 15th Avenue Boynton Beach, Florida 33435 on Tuesday March 21 from 2-4 and
6-8. A Requiem Mass will be held for Colin at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Wednesday March 22 at 10 AM 10935 South Military Trail Boynton,
Beach. The Mass will be live streamed on the Church’s website.
