Man faces charges he gave weapon to Lauderdale Lakes gunman
An arrest has been made in connection with a shooting in December that killed a 26-yearold man, though law enforcement officials are still searching for the second suspect who they said shot and killed the victim.
Freddie Miller, 32, was arrested in Tampa earlier this month on one count of second-degree murder with a firearm and resisting an officer without violence stemming from his alleged involvement in the Dec. 18 death of Jacob Pablo, of Lauderhill, according to the Broward Sheriff ’s Office.
Deputies found Pablo, who had been shot, in the 4100 block of Northwest 30th Terrace in Lauderdale Lakes shortly after 12:30 p.m. Dec. 18. He was taken to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, where he was pronounced dead, the Sheriff ’s Office said.
Before the deadly shooting, Pablo allegedly stabbed Miller while the two were fighting each other, the Sheriff ’s Office said. Miller then went to his car, grabbed a gun and handed it to another person, who the Sheriff ’s Office said shot Pablo.
The Sheriff ’s Office did not release any additional information about the second unidentified person who they are searching for.
Detectives obtained a warrant for Miller’s arrest on March 13 and found him in Tampa on March 18, the Sheriff ’s Office said.
Additional information about the investigation was not available Wednesday afternoon.
