CAMBRIDGE — Emily “Peggy” Thomas, 91, of Cambridge, Md., died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, at Mallard Bay Care Center in Cambridge.
Born Oct. 6, 1927, in Vienna, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer Watson Foxwell and Minnie Gray Foxwell.
She worked as an LPN at Eastern Shore State Hospital
in Cambridge, retiring Jan. 31, 1988. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cambridge.
She is survived by a son, John L. Hurley of East New Market; a daughter, Brenda Hurley of Cambridge; two granddaughters, Susan Truitt and husband Michael, Ashley Christenson and husband Sean; five greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fulton L. Thomas; and her sister, Isabelle Hurley.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2 p.m. at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Delmer Willey will officiate. Interment will follow in East New Market Cemeter y.
