CAM­BRIDGE — Emily “Peggy” Thomas, 91, of Cam­bridge, Md., died Thurs­day, Nov. 29, 2018, at Mal­lard Bay Care Cen­ter in Cam­bridge.

Born Oct. 6, 1927, in Vi­enna, she was the daugh­ter of the late Wilmer Wat­son Foxwell and Min­nie Gray Foxwell.

She worked as an LPN at East­ern Shore State Hos­pi­tal

in Cam­bridge, re­tir­ing Jan. 31, 1988. She was a mem­ber of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cam­bridge.

She is sur­vived by a son, John L. Hur­ley of East New Market; a daugh­ter, Brenda Hur­ley of Cam­bridge; two grand­daugh­ters, Su­san Truitt and hus­band Michael, Ash­ley Chris­ten­son and hus­band Sean; five great­grand­chil­dren; and sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, she was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Ful­ton L. Thomas; and her sis­ter, Is­abelle Hur­ley.

Fu­neral ser­vice will be held on Tues­day, Dec. 4, 2 p.m. at the Zeller Fu­neral Home in East New Market, where the fam­ily will re­ceive friends one hour prior to the ser­vice. Rev. Delmer Wil­ley will of­fi­ci­ate. In­ter­ment will fol­low in East New Market Ceme­ter y.
