Nexamp’s Kent Island community solar project is part of the state of Maryland’s Community Solar Pilot Program, which has set aside a portion of the output for low- and moderate-income customers in an effort to expand access to solar to all Maryland residents. As part of its commitment to accessibility, Nexamp has allocated more than half of the energy generated by the project on Kent Island for low- to moderate-income customers.
