Nex­amp’s Kent Is­land com­mu­nity so­lar project is part of the state of Mary­land’s Com­mu­nity So­lar Pi­lot Pro­gram, which has set aside a por­tion of the out­put for low- and mod­er­ate-in­come cus­tomers in an ef­fort to ex­pand ac­cess to so­lar to all Mary­land res­i­dents. As part of its com­mit­ment to ac­ces­si­bil­ity, Nex­amp has al­lo­cated more than half of the en­ergy gen­er­ated by the project on Kent Is­land for low- to mod­er­ate-in­come cus­tomers.
