GREENS­BORO — Nancy J. My­ers of Greens­boro, Md., passed away on Jan. 1, 2019. She was 77. She was born in St. Clair Shores, Mich., and was the daugh­ter of the late James and Eleanor Tharp.

Sev­eral years af­ter grad­u­at­ing from high school, she worked at the U.S. Navel Anx. Air Sta­tion in Fal­lon, Nev., for five years, then moved to Florida, where she worked at Fairchild Air­craft for an­other five years. She re­lo­cated to Mary­land in the early 1970s and was em­ployed by Waverly Press/ Cad­mus for al­most 25 years. She re­tired in 2001.

Nancy en­joyed many hob­bies over the years: pho­tog­ra­phy, oil paint­ing, cro­chet­ing, cross stitch­ing, scrap­book­ing and cross­word puz­zles (the harder the bet­ter).

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, she was pre­ceded in death by her in­fant grand­son, Christo­pher W. Fazen­baker Jr.; hus­band, John W. My­ers; and her daugh­ter, Yvonne M. Scott. She is sur­vived by her daugh­ter, Kelly Fazen­baker (Chris) of Greens­boro, Md.; step­son, Ron­ald Scott Jr. (Heather) of New Lis­bon, Wis.; four brothers, John Tharp (Mary) of Water­town, N.Y., Richard Tharp (Anna) of Oden­ton, Md., Larry and David Tharp of Eas­ton, Md.; grand­chil­dren, Amanda Scott, Ja­son Scott, Abi­gail Bor­man, Emma Bryant, JC Bryant, Sarah Fazen­baker and Ben­jamin Fazen­baker; and her two spe­cial friends, Sharon Kleczyn­ski of Ridgely, Md., and Sharon Lotridge of Glass Lake, Mich.

Fu­neral ser­vices will be held at Flee­gle and Helfen­bein Fu­neral Home in Greens­boro, Md., on Mon­day, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. with a visi­ta­tion one hour prior with Rev. Den­zil Cheek of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will fol­low at Greens­boro Ceme­tery.
