Denton man facing drug charges
EASTON — A Denton man is facing drug charges following his arrest in Easton.
Detectives with the Easton Police Department’s Narcotics Unit were on patrol Dec.
28 in the area of the 400 block of East Dover Street when they saw a silver Toyota car parked at the rear of a closed business.
Police said the business parking lot was posted clearly with “No Trespassing” signs.
Detectives made contact with the vehicle and its occupants, and smelled marijuana in the vehicle, police said. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Based on the quantity of marijuana and type of paraphernalia located, detectives believed there was an intent to distribute the marijuana, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle,
20-year-old Jaydan Cabarris of Denton, was arrested, and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana over
10 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cabarris was taken before a Talbot County District Court commissioner, who ordered he be held without bond at the Talbot County Detention Center. After a bail review hearing on Dec. 31, he was released on $4,000 unsecured bond, according to online court records.
