— John Bernard Reynolds, 86, passed away from nat­u­ral causes on Dec. 28, 2018. He was born in Bal­ti­more, Md., and raised by his par­ents, Bernard Ig­natius Reynolds and Mary Louise Kelly Reynolds on Rad­nor Av­enue at the 4800 block of York Road.

He at­tended Calvert Hall Coun­try School, Calvert Hall High School and the Uni­ver­sity of Mary­land, School of Busi­ness, in Col­lege Park, Md. Prior to grad­u­a­tion, he was in­ter­viewed by E.I. DuPont de Ne­mours and Com­pany, and ac­cepted a start­ing sales po­si­tion in what was then called their Fab­rics and Fin­ishes De­part­ment and later named the Au­to­mo­tive Prod­ucts De­part­ment. He started his ca­reer with DuPont in the Chicago, Ill., area and later was head­quar­tered in Min­neapo­lis, Minn.; Prov­i­dence, R.I.; Philadel­phia, Pa.; and Wilm­ing­ton, Del., where he fin­ished his ca­reer as the busi­ness man­ager of fin­ishes to orig­i­nal equip­ment man­u­fac­tur­ers of trucks and truck fleets.

Af­ter 35 years, he re­tired from DuPont and moved to Queen­stown, Md., where he owned prop­erty and his fa­ther was born and raised. Af­ter six years, he re­lo­cated to Lady Lake, Fla., where he resided for 22 years, and then to Jupiter, Fla., where he resided for the past two years. He was a mem­ber of the Phi Kappa Sigma So­cial Fra­ter­nity, DuPont Coun­try Club, Kent Is­land Yacht Club, Ro­tary Club of Kent Is­land, Ir­ish Amer­i­can Club of Lady Lak, and Mary­land/DC/Delaware Club of Lady Lake.

He en­joyed golf, bowl­ing, pickle ball, horse­shoes and other par­tic­i­pa­tion ac­tiv­i­ties.

This for­mer DuPont ex­ec­u­tive is sur vived by his wife, Pa­tri­cia Joan Wick­ens Reynolds of Jupiter, Fla.; son, Ti­mothy John Reynolds of Te­questa, Fla.; and daugh­ter, Mishawn Kelly Reynolds, orig­i­nally from Me­dia, Pa. Mr. Reynolds is also sur­vived by his daugh­ter-in-law, Mary Durs­tine McAr­tor Reynolds; grand­daugh­ter, Madi­son McCul­loch Reynolds; and grand­son, Ryan Ti­mothy Reynolds, all of Te­questa, Fla.

A grave­side me­mo­rial ser­vice and the in­ter­ment will be held at St. Pe­ter’s Catholic Church ceme­tery in Queen­stown, Md., on Satur­day, Jan. 19, 2019, at 11 a.m.
