Since 2015, we’ve collaborated with Toyo Tires to produce an annual calendar that gets glued between the pages of this month’s issue. Now, if you’re a subscriber, we apologize with flowers and chocolates, as this is a special treat found only in newsstand copies. Please forgive us, as the production and distribution costs of packaging the calendar within the subscriber copies (which costs you $.84 an issue if you paid for two years) doesn’t make financial business sense. Hopefully, you won’t hate us forever, but nonetheless, whether you're a subscriber or found us at Barnes and Noble, you get to check out this exclusive feature of the new Toyo Girls foursome. We hope you enjoy our “desert vibes” shoot with photographer John Kingston as well as seven standout Toyo-equipped cars.

This year’s Toyo Girls all hail from California; however, you can meet them at nearly every major car show across the nation Toyo supports, including Tuner Evolution, Spocom, and Stancenation. We’ll also be hosting our own calendar launch car meets this January, so stay tuned for our announcement—and don’t miss a chance to meet these four lovely ladies!

SS: Where’d you grow up and where do you now call home? Ashley: I grew up in a small town in Connecticut, but I currently live in LA. Brookelynn: I was born and raised in Orange County.

Dree: I grew up in the San Bernardino Mountains, but now I live in Ontario. Jaylin: Born in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley) and still call it home.

SS: Besides being a cool Toyo Girl, what do you do for a living? Ashley: After I graduated business school, I was asked to film a Real World season and have been in the entertainment industry ever since! I feel so blessed for all the projects I’ve gotten to be involved with and all the amazing places I’ve gotten to travel to. In addition to modeling, I write fitness/nutrition plans for clients all around the country.

Brookelynn: I’m a full-time model and actress. I’m also a full-time college student studying to become a forensic scientist and crime scene investigator.

Dree: I model full-time and make Youtube videos for a living right now.

Jaylin: I’m a licensed nurse—i graduate in June 2019 with my RN license. I’m also a Corona Ring girl and fashion model.

SS: Tell us one or two of your hobbies. Ashley: My favorite thing to do is travel and explore the world.

Brookelynn: My favorite activity is absolutely anything adventurous. I love traveling and making new memories more than anything else. You can typically find me hiking or on some random road trip.

Dree: My favorite activity is playing different sports, working out, and staying healthy.

Jaylin: I enjoy exercising, shopping and volunteering.

SS: First car and what did you love or hate about it?

Ashley: My first car was a GTI, and I loved it. I thought I was so cool having the cute hatchback that I could throw my snowboard in and cruise around town. The only thing I hated about it was the electrical issues it started having—and the fact that I had to start it with a screwdriver... Yeah, I don’t know, either...

Brookelynn: Toby! My first car was an ’07 Toyota Corolla, which is actually the car I still have. He’s been a real trooper and gotten me absolutely everywhere I need to go without giving me any trouble. I have really put the little guy through the ringer, but he’s never failed me. I don’t hate anything about him.

Dree: My first car was a white Subaru Outback. I loved that it worked and got me through the snow, but I hated the style.

Jaylin: Toyota Camry—loved that it was cheap on gas but the color was green.

SS: If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you splurge on? Ashley: I would pay off any debt my family had and take them all on vacation to wherever they have always dreamed of going. Then I’d probably buy my mom a house and go live in it with her.

Brookelynn: Shoot... This is a really hard one. Honestly, I would probably use the money to travel the world. I would also make sure my family was taken care of so none of them had to work anymore. Then, I would buy an R8.

Dree: That would never happen because I have the worst luck!

Jaylin: Buying myself a new house and also buying my mom one!

SS: Ideal date…if there is one?

Ashley: Doing something adventurous I normally wouldn’t do myself, then going to an intimate dinner where we would talk for hours, and ending the night with a walk or dance on the beach. I’m a hopeless romantic!

Brookelynn: Anything adventurous that makes for a great story and memory. I love it when I can tell a guy put a lot of thought into a date, because it makes me feel so special. Anything from a trip to the zoo to a picnic with a view!

Dree: Wherever, as long as it’s with the right person!

Jaylin: Dinner at a restaurant I’ve never been to and a show.

SS: What are you looking forward to most about being a 2019 Toyo girl?

Ashley: I’m looking forward to the people I’m going to meet all around the country! I love getting to know people who have walked different paths than I have.

Brookelynn: I am so excited for everything! I think I’m most excited to travel and meet different people from different places, but I’m also excited to expand my knowledge about cars and tires. Dree: Seeing new things and meeting amazing new people! Jaylin: Traveling, meeting different people, and experiencing different cultures.
