Moe Bandy to Kick Off APPLAUSE Series Saturday, November 7
Moe Bandy, one of America’s classic country singers, and his band will open the 20202021 APPLAUSE Series on Saturday, November 7 in the Sweetwater Municipal Auditorium. Curtain is at 7:30 pm. Country music legend Moe Bandy has come a long way from his bull riding days in Texas. Not to mention his years as a sheet metal worker by day and playing Honkey Tonks at night in and around his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. In the mid-seventies when the country pop Kenny Rogers, John Denver and the outlaw sound of Waylon and Willie was at the rage, along came the traditionalist Moe Bandy.
There will be a Western Art Show by painter Tom Fuller for APPLAUSE members prior to the concert. The Art Show will open at 6 pm, Saturday, November 7 in the Henderson Gallery on the south side of the Auditorium complex (201 4th Street). The Western Art Show will be available to the public on Sundays 2-4pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-6p through November 22 Art Show passes are sold at the door.
