“Let us worship the Lord”

- ST. STEPHEN’S EPISCOPAL

BETHEL ASSEMBLY OF SWEETWATER

“But the LORD has been my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge”

Psalm 94:22

In uncertain times it’s good to be standing on something that’s certain and proven. God is the ROCK that cannot be shaken. Pastor Carter Edmondson Join us this Sunday to find refuge from the storms of this world. Our services are 10:30 AM on Sundays. If you can’t make it to worship with us in person just yet, please tune in to KXOX 96.7. We are also on YouTube at this time for those who can watch the services anytime. We are not meeting on Wednesdays but plans are being made to start meeting then ASAP.On Sundays we have children’s church, Kingdom Kids, meet during the same time as our regular services meet in first in the Fellowship Hall and then in separate age appropriate classes after worshipping . Kingdom Kids are for ages 4-12. We also have our nursery open for ages 0-3. We will have hot coffee and donuts ready before Sunday services, so please come early and fellowship with us if you can.

Pastor Carter began a series of sermons titled ‘CONNECT, CULTIVATE, AND CARRY ON’ last Sunday.

John 15:5 - Jesus said, “I AM the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, will bear much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.’”

It really does matter what you’re connected to. #letsabide #letsconnect. OUR REDEEMER LIVES !!!

BROADWAY BAPTIST CHURCH Bibles, Bibles, and More Bibles!…

As I sit and write today, I couldn’t help but notice that I have four Bibles sitting on my desk…that’s right FOUR! Not really sure how many Bibles I have, but let’s just say it’s for sure in double digits. Can you relate?

Maybe you can; but, in some parts of the world, those precious people might have never even SEEN a Bible, much less owned one. This is so far beyond my ability to understand. I can’t remember a day in my life when I did not have a Bible.

I read a story once about a shipment of Bibles brought into a part of the world that had never had the Bible before. People heard about the delivery and came out by the hundreds. In the end, there were not enough Bibles for everyone to get their own. So, the people began to tear the pages out so that everyone got a little piece of the Bible. These people were so thrilled and thankful! They had a few pages of the Bible all to themselves for the first time ever. Even recalling this story draws many emotions to the surface. Like never before, our world needs truth. The Bible is God’s truth spoken out to us. Jesus said in John 17:17, “Sanctify (set apart from the world) them (believers in me) through Thy truth: Thy word is TRUTH!” If it is the Bible that is going to set us apart from the world and we never crack it open, how is the world going to see any difference between us and them? The answer is: they will not.

Where does the Bible get its power? The answer: from God. You see, 2 Timothy 3:16 tells us that “All scripture is given by the inspiration of God.” Literally, that means that God BREATHED it out of His mouth. Not sure about you, but if God says something, I want to make sure I know what He said.

So, let me urge you to find you Bible (or Bibles), dust them off and get to reading! Spend time each day reading what God has to say to you. You might be surprised about the things He has to say to you! We would love to have you join us at Broadway Baptist. Our services are live in the sanctuary and we broadcast our Sunday Morning Worship time, our Sunday evening services, and our Wednesday evening Bible Study through FB Live. We have many activities going on here at Broadway and you can find out about all of them on our website at bbcsweetwater.org .
