ODESSA CASSADY
Odessa Cassady, 84, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 20, 2021. Services will be 10 A.M. Saturday, July 24, 2021 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Walter Oden officiating. Burial will follow at the Sweetwater Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home. Odessa was born to James A. and Unia Bell (Bluebough) Bailey December 18, 1936 in Chillicothe, TX. She married Johnny Cassady August 3, 1959 in Sweetwater, TX. She lost her love on November 30, 2016. She is now reunited with him in Heaven. Odessa was a homemaker. She loved to garden and can her vegetables and make jelly. She sewed many a Quilt to keep her family warm. Later in life she was a Home Health Caregiver for many clients which she became close friends. She loved to play the piano and sing. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Elaine Patty of Sweetwater, TX, three sons, Charles Wesley White & wife Pauline of Bryan, TX, John A. Cassady, Jr. of Sweetwater, TX, Stephen Darrell Cassady and Kim Hardy of Roscoe, TX, a sister, Leta Bennett and husband Lavelle (M.L.) of Sweetwater, TX, eight grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, James and Unia Bailey, brothers, Roy Lee Bailey, Dud Bailey, Arthur Bailey, James Bailey, sisters, Bessie Lee Bailey, Lula Bell Chance Reeves, Ruthie Bohall, Mary Lou Barton.
