and Announcement Policy The Community Calendar and Announcement sections are for non-profit organizations such as churches, schools, and benefits helping families or certain groups. The benefit must run what it is and where the money is going. No prices will be allowed in the placement. For example, no ticket price, no door price or no prize price.
“Donations will be accepted” is acceptable language, but no amount is allowed. Items in question will be handled on a caseby-case basis and placement or non-placement will be at the discretion of the editor and the publisher.
The placer always has the opportunity to purchase an advertisement in the paper to run the full announcement. If he or she wishes to do so, they will be directed to advertising for their assistance. Feel free to contact us at 325-236-6677.

Sweetwater Nolan County Welfare Association Food Pantry is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Currently we have TXU funds to assist families once a year with their TXU bills.
Women’s Resource/ Crisis Pregnancy Center Has Reopened
The Women’s Resource/ Crisis Pregnancy Center Has Reopened to the public.The Center is located at 310 Hickory Street 325-2352100. The new hours are: Monday -Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. til 3:00 p.m. “We have diapers, lotion & baby bath wash, bottles, as well as formula.
We also have a supply of “gently used” clothes sizes O through 24 months. And be sure to ask about our “Earn & Learn” program where you can watch Lessons on prenatal care and Infant parenting from Birth to One Year Old which allows you to earn points to get new baby clothes and other items.” A representative said. All losses are different, but a loss of a spouse is unique. First Methodist Church in Sweetwater is offering a free one night seminar sponsored by Grief Share Called “Loss Of A Spouse”, on Tuesday January 17th. This one night session will begin at 6pm in the church parlor. Men and women of all ages who have experienced this loss are welcome to come. You may pre-register at griefhsare. org. When someone loses a loved one, they have feelings of loneliness, depression, and anxiety. They do not know what emotions to expect, how to manage relationships, or how to move forward with their lives. The First Methodist Church in Sweetwater is sponsoring a grief support group called Grief Share.
Grief Share is a support group that features 12,000 + churches worldwide equipped to offer grief support. It is a nondenominational, and it features biblical concepts for healing through grief. Participants will receive a workbook with a $20 donation, watch a video with grief counselors, and with those tho have experienced grief followed up with a discussion. It is a Very Safe place where those who are grieving who will be supported. This program is for 18 years and older.
Our 13-week sessions begin on Tuesday, January 24, at 6pm. We will meet every Tuesday through April 18th. Participants are welcome to join anytime during those 13 weeks. Each night is a different topic. You may pre-register at griefshare.org.
