Sweetwater sports camps schedule

A Sweetwater Mustang Tennis Camp will be held May 30-June 1 at the Sweetwater High School tennis courts.

There will be two camp sessions with the first session (Division 1) for grades 1-5 set from 8-9:30 a.m. and the second session (Division 2) for grades 6-9 from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost is $30 for one camper and $15 for each additional sibling. Campers are to wear comfortabl­e clothing and tennis shoes, bring a tennis racket if they have one, plus a thermos of water and proper sun protection. A Sweetwater Mustang Baseball Camp runs Monday through Wednesday, June 5-7, at Sportsman’s Park which is the high school baseball field.

The cost is $50 for all campers. It includes a camp T-shirt. The incoming students in grades K-6 will have camp sessions each day from 9-11 a.m., while the incoming students in grades 7-9 will have their camp sessions each day from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Signups will be accepted the morning of June 5. Make checks payable to Steven Biera. Bring registrati­on the morning of June 5. Venmo payments are accepted. Please Venmo to Laurie Biera@Laurie-Biera. Include the camper’s name and bring form the morning of June 5.

A Mini-Mustang Softball Camp will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 5-6 from 4-7 p.m. both days at Jerry Collins Complex, which is the Sweetwater High School field.

The cost of the camp will be $40 per camper, which includes a camp T-shirt if the registrati­on and payment is complete by May 31.

According to SHS coach Lacy Gregory, payment can be made by Venmo: “Lacygregor­y6” or with cash or check taken to the high school office t0 be put in coach Gregory’s box.

Please include your name and your camper’s name when submitting payment.

A Sweetwater Youth

Soccer Camp will now be held Wednesday through Friday, June 7-9, at the youth soccer fields.

The first session is from 5:30-7 p.m. each day for students in grades K-4 at a cost of $35. The second session is from 7-8:15 p.m. each day for students in grades 5-8 at a cost of $35. The cost includes a camp T-shirt. The last day to register is May 30.

Make Venmo payments to Sweetwater Youth Soccer. A cash drop will be set up and announced soon.

All proceeds from the

camp will be donated to the Mustang and Lady Mustang soccer program.

A Summer Volleyball

Camp will be held Friday and Saturday, June 9-10. The camp will be hosted by Kendra (Crosson) Harvey, Kelsi (Crosson) Rhodes and Suede (Shirley) Buchmann from the Sweetwater High School class of 2013. The camp objective is to prepare for the upcoming 2023 season and have the chance to train with SHS alumni.

The cost is $5o per middle school athlete and $80 per high school athlete.

Sessions on June 9 will be at 5:30 p.m. for all setters and from 6-9 p.m. for all high school athletes.

Sessions on June 10 will be from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1-3 p.m. for all middle school athletes and from 4-9 p.m. for all high school athletes. Sessions for all setters will be held at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

A girls basketball

camp will be held Tuesday through Thursday, June 13-15 at the Sweetwater Middle School gym with the first session for grades 2-5 set for 10 a.m. to noon at a cost of $40. The second session for grades 6-9 will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at a cost of $45.

Use the QR code on the camp flyer to sign up by filling out the online registrati­on to secure a spot. Payment mut be brought at check in on the first day of camp. Cash or checks are preferred with checks made out to Caleb Thomasson.

Equipment needed includes a shirt, shorts, water bottle and basketball shoes. All campers receive a camp shirt. The camp is designed for players to learn fundamenta­ls, improve skills and to become a better player.
