Tiger pleads guilty in deal, avoids jail
Tiger Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving in a deal that will keep him out of jail as long as he stays out of trouble, resolving charges from a May arrest after he was found passed out in his Mercedes with prescription drugs and marijuana in his system. Woods, 41, spoke only briefly during a hearing in Palm Beach Gardens, answering the judge’s questions about his plea agreement, which includes a year of probation. Prosecutors dropped a driving under the influence charge, and the judge warned him to behave. Woods didn’t make a statement at the hearing or outside the courthouse.
