Taste of Home’s registered dietitian nutritioni­st based our Eat Smart guidelines on criteria set by the U.S. Department of Agricultur­e, the American Heart Associatio­n and the American Diabetes Associatio­n. Main dishes marked Eat Smart, for the most part, have no more than 550 calories, 6 grams saturated fat and 800 milligrams sodium per serving.
