Wachusett upends Leominster in field hockey

Wachusett 5, Leominster 1: Kayleigh McGurl had a goal and two assists, Lindsey McGurl and Lilly Chaisson each had a goal and assist, and Annabel Stowe and Jordan Jarvi also scored to propel the Mountainee­rs (5-1-1, 3-1 MidWach A). Emma Miller scored for the Blue Devils (6-2, 2-2).

Algonquin 2, Nashoba 1: Taylor Mieth and Annelise Gingrich scored as the visiting Titans (8-1-1, 4-1 Mid-Wach A) edged the Wolves (2-7, 0-5).

Doherty 3, Marlboroug­h 1: Hannah Murray scored twice and assisted on Amelia Felecitti’s goal to boost the visiting Highlander­s (9-0). Casey Horn tallied for the Panthers (1-7-1), and Abby Horn had the assist.

Westboroug­h 2, North Middlesex 2: Talia Bedar and Laura Rice tallied for visiting Westboroug­h (1-6-1, 1-3-1 MidWach B), while Meredith Southard Pantano and Sofia Caldwell scored for North Middlesex (4-3-2, 2-0-2) in the tie.

Clinton 1, Tahanto 0: Faith Dickhaut scored off a rebound two minutes into the third quarter to send the visiting Gaels (7-0, 5-0 Mid-Wach D) past the Stags (3-4-1, 1-4-1).

Hudson 7, Fitchburg 0: Katie Szklarz scored three goals, and Lila Rich had a goal and two assists to boost the host Hawks (2-2-3, 2-2-2 Mid-Wach C).

Hopedale 4, Valley Tech 2: Hayden Tobin scored twice, and Abbie Aldrich and Emily Frohn also tallied as the host Blue Raiders (3-1-3) beat the Beavers (44-2). Teammate Lyla Pessotti had two assists. Emily Sullivan and Kayla Chausse netted the goals for BVT.

Sutton 2, Nipmuc 0: Claire Acocelli netted two goals, and Allison Hastings made five saves as the host Suzies (5-2, 2-0 Dual Valley) blanked the Warriors (5-2-2, 1-1-1).

North Brookfield 10, Worcester Tech 0: Sophia Giangrande had six goals and two assists while powering the visiting Indians (3-2) past the Eagles (1-3-1).

Quabbin 0, Oakmont 0: Julianna Stanger had four saves to preserve the shutout for visiting Quabbin (4-2-2, 21-2 Mid-Wach B), and Annika Sallila (5 saves) did the same for Oakmont (2-3-1, 1-1-1).

Agawam 3, Tantasqua 0: Alyssa Drajpuch has 21 saves for the Warriors (2-4-1) in a home loss.

Girls’ soccer

West Boylston 3, Doherty 0: Annya O’Rourke, Emily Pitro and Grace Shannon scored, while Shannen Luksha posted the shutout as the visiting Lions (7-1) topped the Highlander­s (6-2-2).

Auburn 5, Waltham 1: Zhunay Moulton scored twice, Natalie Frazier had a goal and assist and Alexis Nordman two assists as the Rockets (9-1-1) topped the Hawks (7-2) in Waltham.

Fitchburg 4, Burncoat 0: Mia Robertson (assist) and Ari Lopez each scored twice, and Mary Dwyer posted the shutout for the host Red Raiders (26-1).

Lunenburg 5, Clinton 2: Savannah Parker netted two goals, and Chloe Koziol, Claire Nolan, Lauren King also scored to propel the host Blue Knights (6-1, 6-0 Mid-Wach D). Lauren Lemanski and Ella Askren tallied for the Gaels (4-5-2, 4-3-1).

David Prouty 2, Millbury 0: Elianna Barnett scored both goals in the first half, and Maddy Ethier made seven saves as the host Panthers (3-4-1, 2-4-1 SWCL) blanked the Woolies (7-2-1, 52-1).

Tantasqua 6, Uxbridge 0: Hayden O’Malley scored twice while assisting on the other four goals, and Eleanor Colati also had two goals for the host Warriors (5-3, 3-2 SWCL).

Parker Charter 1, Ayer-Shirley 0: Skylar Shannon scored her first goal of the year, converting a pass from Savannah Kuleisis in the 55th minute to send visiting Parker (6-1-2) past Ayer-Shirley (2-6-1). Parker’s Sarah Rogers made four saves for the shutout, and Alexis Carlson had seven saves for Ayer-Shirley.

Nashoba Tech 3, North 0: Sadie Tracy netted all three goals as the visiting Vikings (9-1) defeated the Polar Bears (1-7).

St. John’s 182, Shrewsbury 208: Nick Gebhardt and Cael Duggan shared medalist honors at 2-under 34 at Wachusett CC to lift the host Pioneers (10-0) over the Colonials (3-7).

Assabet 152, Bay Path 178: Cody Pare carded par 35 at Berlin CC as the host Aztecs (5-4, 5-3-1 Colonial) topped the Minutemen (3-5, 2-6).

Tantasqua 156, Auburn 177: Sam Pieczynski sizzled with a 3-under 33 at

Hemlock Ridge, leading the host Warriors (7-4, 3-2 SWCL) past the Rockets (10-2, 7-1).

Boys’ cross-country

Gardner 19, Lunenburg 38: Telmo Iturbe won the 2.6-race in 14:56, and Sokari Jenkins (15:59), Bardley Bettez (16:09), Ari Cuevas (16:11) and Mike Gemelli (16:13) placed third through sixth to secure the victory for the host Wildcats (7-0). Tyler Fortin (15:26) finished second to pace the Blue Knights (1-3).

Girls’ cross-country

Gardner 25, Lunenburg 31: Krista Bettez (17:42) and Megan Bettez (17:49) placed 1-2 over 2.6 miles, and teammate Libby Osowski (19:03) was fourth as the host Wildcats (7-0) topped the Blue Knights (1-3). Lunenburg’s Lauren Long (18:02) came in third.
