Lukes tops list of highest paid Holden employees

HOLDEN — The list of the highest paid municipal employees during the 2023 calendar year was topped by the town manager who was followed by employees of the police and light department­s.

Town Manager Peter M. Lukes topped the list with a gross total $182,670.48, followed by Barry W. Tupper Jr., the light department general manager, who grossed $170,229.83.

The police department was led by Police Officer Gregg B. Sculthorpe who grossed $168,320.86, while Police Chief Timothy J. Sherblom followed with $165,132.51.

The salary of Benjamin Allen, a foreman at the light department, was fifth for the year at $157,963.80.

Three other police employees also placed in the top 10 for the year, while Fire Chief Russell Hall was eighth with a gross total $149,206.50
