Lukes tops list of highest paid Holden employees

HOLDEN — The list of the highest paid municipal employees during the 2023 calendar year was topped by the town manager who was followed by employees of the police and light departments.

Town Manager Peter M. Lukes topped the list with a gross total $182,670.48, followed by Barry W. Tupper Jr., the light department general manager, who grossed $170,229.83.

The police department was led by Police Officer Gregg B. Sculthorpe who grossed $168,320.86, while Police Chief Timothy J. Sherblom followed with $165,132.51.

The salary of Benjamin Allen, a foreman at the light department, was fifth for the year at $157,963.80.

Three other police employees also placed in the top 10 for the year, while Fire Chief Russell Hall was eighth with a gross total $149,206.50
