Women's lacrosse

Nichols 11, Wellesley 10: Makala Dube scored her second goal of the game with 9 seconds left to boost the visiting Bison (8-0) over the Blue (2-5). Hadley Houghton assisted on the score, just 37 seconds after tying the game with her 44th goal of the season, her fifth of the day.

Assumption 10, Mercy 9: Olivia Catanzarit­e had five goals and an assist, Jenna Joseph had three assists with her goal, and the 22nd-ranked Greyhounds (3-3) held off the No. 23 Mavericks (1-6) in Worcester. Assumption's Molly Weiand scored twice.

Holy Cross 19, Stonehill 10: Ella Kittredge and Sally Zinsner each netted five goals, and Lauren Drillock scored four as the visiting Crusaders (7-2) extended their winning streak to six by upending the Skyhawks (3-4). HC's Isabela Miller collected two goals and six assists.

Clark 16, Curry 4: Elizabeth Liakos scored four times with an assist, and Elizabeth Cacciapagl­ia had three goals and an assist for the host Cougars (4-3) against the Colonels (4-4). Mary Greene, Erin Lucas and Kiley Simmons each had two goals and an assist for Clark, which kept Curry scoreless in the first and third quarters.

Johnson & Wales 15, Fitchburg State 8: Autumn Tibbetts and Nicole Orlowski notched hat tricks for the visiting Falcons (3-2) in a loss to the Wildcats (2-3) in Providence.

Men's lacrosse

Nichols 7, St. Joseph's (Conn.) 6: Dylan DeRubeis scored his third goal of the day in overtime to lift the visiting Bison (4-3) past the Blue Jays (6-2) in West Hartford. Nichols led, 7-3, in the fourth quarter before St. Joseph's rallied to tie, evening the game with 19 seconds left in regulation.

Emmanuel 16, Anna Maria 1: Hank Gittines' goal early in the first quarter tied the game for the visiting AmCats (1-7, 0-2 GNAC) against the Saints (1-7, 1-1).

Baseball

Nichols 7, Rivier 5: Karl Miller and Kelvin Gutierrez each knocked in runs in the eighth inning to propel the host Bison (9-3) past the Raiders (3-9), Nichols' seventh straight victory. Johnny Knox went 3 for 5, and Gutierrez and Taj

Vera Cruz had two hits each.

Clark 5, Lesley 4: Tyler Jones' solo home run to left field in the sixth inning provided the difference for the host Cougars (13-1) over the Lynx (6-3). Ryan Bonja also homered for Clark. Benjamin Spencer threw three scoreless innings for his third save of the season.

Worcester State 5, Elmhurst 3; Elmhurst 3, Worcester State 0: Tyler Smith and Nathan Thurber each had two-run singles early to lift the Lancers (1-5) in the first game of a doublehead­er split in Auburndale, Florida. Jarret Morrill struck out eight in six innings to earn the victory.

Suffolk 15, WPI 13: Andrew Cash (4 for 6, 3 RBIs) hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning to tie the game for the host Engineers (10-4), who had powered for a 10-run fourth inning that wasn't enough against the Rams (9-4) at the New England Baseball Complex in Northborou­gh. WPI's Tommy Burns also went 4 for 6, with three doubles.

Vermont State-Castleton 13, Anna Maria 7: Leadoff hitter Jarryn Barber was 4 for 6 with a two-run double, and Jarrod Marifiote had three hits with a double for the AmCats (6-8) in a home loss to the Spartans (2-12), also at the New England Baseball Complex.

Softball

Assumption 7, Post 1; Assumption 7, Post 5: Grace Heim's two-run single in the fourth inning of the second game lifted the host Greyhounds (5-8) to the doublehead­er sweep of the Eagles (2-13). Jordan Dwyer was 2 for 2 with two stolen bases and three runs for Assumption in the nightcap, which was shortened to five innings by rain. Zoey McDonough threw five innings on one-hit, shutout relief in the opener for the Hounds, and Dwyer and Emma Bloom each drove in two runs.

Anna Maria 14, Fisher 0; Anna Maria 14, Fisher 1: Eden Forget fires a five-inning one-hitter with 10 strikeouts in the first game for the host AmCats (5-7), Sabrina Liston drove in three runs on two hits in the second inning, and Shae Savoie, Kiara Edmonds and Madisyn Crossman each had two RBIs. In the five-inning second game, Forget, who played shortstop, went 3 for 3 with 3 RBI.

Luther 6, Worcester State 0; Southern Virginia 10, Worcester State 3: Abigail Koziol hit a two-run homer in the first inning of the nightcap for the Lancers (2-6) in Clermont, Florida. Bailey Tammaro doubled and walked in the opener for Worcester State.
