UACCH has hazardous materials classes

HOPE, Ark.—University of Arkansas Community College at Hope is enrolling safety and quality assurance workers who need hazardous materials safety training to stay compliant within their field.

The courses will be offered through the Industry Outreach Department in partnershi­p with SET Environmen­tal, Inc. of Little Rock.

Dates for these trainings will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Feb. 18-22.

Three levels of certificat­ion will be offered:

Technician Level Responder, five days, 40 contact hours. The cost is $775 per student.

Operations Level Responder, two days, 24 contact hours. The cost is $425 per student.

Refresher for HAZMAT Operations, one day, 8 contact hours. The cost is $250 per student.

Course fees include all required materials, refreshmen­ts and lunches for all days attended and will be invoiced to the participan­t after completion of the course. Deadline to register is noon Feb. 13.

All courses offered are subject to cancellati­on due to low enrollment. Registered participan­ts will be contacted on Feb. 13, if canceled.
