John W. Jameson, 81, lived a long and joy-filled life and went home to Paradise on Sunday, January 27th, 2013. Born in Woodward, OK. on September 12th, 1931 to Frank and Opal Jameson, John had a successful career serving Middle School and High School students as a Vice-Principal, Athletic Director and Coach for forty plus years in both Oklahoma and Kansas.

John was a member of First Baptist Church Moore’s Lane, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and was honored for officiatin­g high school sports in Kansas for twenty-eight years.

John is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Jameson, daughter: Cathy McGowan; son Mike Jameson, daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Max Goldsmith and daughter and sonin-law: Tricia and Troy Mackin; nine grandchild­ren: Laura and her husband Clint Myers, James McGowan, Hudson Jameson, Kaitlin Jameson, Tyler Goldsmith, Austin Goldsmith, Brendan Mackin, Connor Mackin and Christian Mackin and a host of friends and other relatives.

Services will be held at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 30th, 2013 with Rev. Larry Sims and Rev. Chris Shupe officiatin­g. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening, January 29th, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
