Genoa falls to Curley Wolves

PRESCOTT, Ark.—Prescott jumped out to a 13-5 lead in the first quarter and claimed a 5542 victory over visiting Genoa Central Monday.

Shabrea Gulley popped the cords for a game-high 23 points to lead the Lady Wolves.

Anna Murphy led the Lady Dragons with 13 points and eight rebounds. Lexi Wood added 10 points for GC.

Genoa Central won the junior high game, 40-32. Callie Beckham (10 points) and Kelsie Sanders (nine) led the Dragons. Makayla Roberts scored 13 for the Lady Wolves, and Abby Morrow had 11.

Prescott hosts Centerpoin­t today.

red Lick sweeps pewitt

RED LICK, Texas—All three Lady Mustangs’ teams went out with a bang, sweeping Paul Pewitt.

Red Lick’s 8th grade ‘A’ team (10-3, 7-1) finshed with a 40-4 thrashing of Paul Pewitt. Tiffanie Okereke led the Mustangs with 14 points and Abbey Harjo added 10. The ‘A’ team finished second in district play.

Stephanie Okereke led the ‘B’ team to a 12-3 victory. She finished with six points.

In 7th grade action, the Mustangs put a cap on a perfect season in district with a 30-19 win. Ebbony Cobbins had a big night for the Lady Brahmas, scoring 12 points. Kenley Kyles dropped in a game-high 11 points for the Mustangs.

redwater splits two

REDWATER, Texas— Daingerfie­ld’s 8th grade team beat Redwater in its own backyard, 23-15. TyDuija Kelly had nine points for the Lady Tigers. Sara Williams and Ashley Wright led the Lady Dragons with four points each.

Daingerfie­ld was no match for Savannah Corbell and the Dragons. Corbell had 11 points, leading the 7th grade team to a 27-14 win.

nB, Qc break even

NEW BOSTON, Texas—The 8th grade Lady Lions took care of business, knocking off Queen City, 36-16. Madison Thomas and Jennifer McCord sunk in 10 points each for New Boston.

Queen City had better luck in the 7th grade game, winning 37-27. Jessica Jones had field day, leading the Lady Bulldogs with 19 points. Ashlee Brown led New Boston with 11.

aHS drops one

Mineral Springs’ freshmen girls showed no mercy against Arkansas High, winning 46-26. Ashley Cannon led AHS with four points.

Boys daingerfie­ld sweeps redwater

REDWATER, Texas—The Tigers roared their way to victory in both the 7th and 8th grade games.

The 8th grader’s won, 21-16. Chris Irizarry tried to keep the Dragons in the game with 14 points, but it just wasn’t enough to hold off the Tigers.

Daingerfie­ld won the 7th grade game, 32-10.

red Lick blanks paul pewitt

RED LICK,Texas—The 7th and 8th grade Mustangs finished their seasons with convincing victories.

Carson Jones lit up the scoreboard with 21 points, leading the Mustangs to an impressive 42-14 win.

The 7th graders won, 30-13. Hunter Smith led Red Lick with 11 points.

Hornets sting Linden-kildare

HOOKS, Texas—Hooks had full control of the 7th and 8th grade games, winning both in convincing fashion.

Malik Estelle led the 8th grade to a 44-9 win over LindenKild­are. Estelle had a game-high 14 points.

L-K didn’t haven much luck in the 7th grade game either, losing, 26-9. Tre Harvey was the top Hornet with eight points.

razorbacks remain unbeaten

North Heights’ 8th grade boys improved to 9-0 and have a chance to wrap up a perfect season next week.

The Razorbacks throttled Mineral Springs, 34-14, with nine individual­s scoring for NH, which plays its season finale at El Dorado Monday. Jakob Johnson led North Heights with six points, and Dakota Campbell added five.
