A man’s body was found Saturday in a vehicle in Saratoga with three garden hoses sticking out the rear window and the ends of the hoses under the exhaust pipe.

The Hempstead County Sheriff ’s Department was summoned to 211 Arkansas Highway 234 in Saratoga where the body was found.

County Deputy Jerry Crider found a white male estimated at 55 years of age sitting in the driver’s seat parked in the yard of the residence. The identity of the man has not been confirmed.

“The end of three garden hoses were sticking out of the rear window, and the other end of the hoses were lying on the ground under the exhaust pipe,” Sheriff James Singleton said.

The front windshield was blocked by a portable sunscreen, and the windows of the vehicle were tinted, he said.

No identification was found on the body.

County Coroner Ben Brazzel pronounced the man dead at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, and the body was sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab to determine identity and cause of death.

No report had been received regarding the man’s identification Tuesday afternoon.

“The body is believed to be a 55-year-old white male from Paris, Texas, who was wanted on failure to appear warrants from the state of Texas. He had been living at the residence for some time,” Singleton said.

The incident is under investigation.
