Willard T. “Sawdust” Bryant, 97, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in a local hospital. Mr. Bryant was born April 15, 1915, in Doddridge, Ark. He was retired from the sawmill business, a Mason, and a member of Parent Teacher Associatio­n, A rkansas Band Booster Club Beech Street First Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, teacher and greeter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Combs Bryant; two sons, Willard Eber Bryant and Wesley Bryant; and two daughters, Julia Dungan and Frances LaVera Bryant.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Barnes of Germantown, Tenn., and MaryBess Cunningham of Texarkana; 14 grandchild­ren; 13 great-grandchild­ren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Beech Street First Baptist Church. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
