AVERY, Texas—Avery rallied from a five-point deficit in the fourth quarter, improving to 7-2 in district.

Hunter Morris led the Bulldogs with 15 points Garde Bowles had 10. Jim Lawing led the Pirates with 12 points. The Pirates fall to 3-6 in district.

Avery won the junior varsity game, 32-14. Alan Fanning had eight points for the winners.
