Five-day conference aims to help women fulfill their purpose
Kimberly Smith Ministries will present a Prophetic Women of Purpose Kingdom Conference from Thursday through Oct. 5 at Greater Heights Ministries.
The scripture theme for the three-day event is based on Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
And its objective is to help attendees discover their purpose and how to fulfill it, said host minister Kimberly Smith.
“Without purpose, life is void and meaningless. All humanity has a purpose, and God has a plan for each of our lives,” she said. “The Lord has the definition of who he created each person to be.”
Besides Smith, the activity-filled conference features the prophetic ministries of keynote speakers Denorise Hamilton of the local Eagles’ Wings Ministries at 7 p.m. Thursday; Bertha Henry of Seed of Savior based in Longview, Texas, at 7 p.m. Friday; and Smith at 10 a.m. Oct. 5.
Breakout sessions include messages by Karen Zollar of Options for Life and Zollar Ministries; Teena Elrod of Teena Elrod Ministries and Heritage; Nikki Lewis of Ms. Fit and Christ Nations Church; Freda Thomas, LCSW, certified anger resolution therapist, Unveiling the Mask Ministry and Mount Grove Baptist Church.
Praise and worship will be led by Encounter the Cross Band, Lanita Crayton and MeMe Fowler and the dance ministry of Daughters of Zion, and the mother/ daughter team of Julie Jeffus and Brittney Angel, will also be part of the event.
“The environment will be a spirit-filled empowering atmosphere flowing in revelation, knowledge and prophetic utterance,” Smith said. Registration to attend is free. However, officials request that those planning to attend fill out a registration form available on Facebook on Kimberly Smith’s page to obtain a count for the event.
A love offering will be received.
The conference is open to women, men and youth.
Vendors’ booths will also be on hand during the services. Vendor spaces are available for $35 per day or $100 for the entire conference.
