Carolyn Faye “Carol” George

Carolyn Faye “Carol” George, age 67, of Texarkana, Texas, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, November 18, 2013, surrounded by her family. Mrs. George was born April 25, 1946 in Eureka, California and lived in Texarkana most of her life. She was a retired registered nurse and taught Health Occupations with Queen City School Independent School District for fifteen years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Cook, one great grandson, Bentley Ray Cook and her mother, Doris Marie Gay. She was a member of the Four States Decorative Artist Club, attended the First Biker’s Church of Texarkana and was a Christian. She is survived by her husband, Bobby R. George of Texarkana, Texas; three daughters: Tina Cook of Texarkana, Texas; Lisa George of Texarkana, Texas; and Angela Hays of Texarkana, Texas; two sons: Eddy Cook and wife, Becky of Texarkana, Arkansas; Gary George of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers: Douglas Stewart and his wife Susan of Arlington, Texas; Joe Gay of Texarkana, Arkansas; one sister: Jeannette Woods and husband Rocky of Texarkana, Texas; six grandchildren: three great grandchildren and a host of friends, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matthew Butler officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M.
