Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods are taking donations for their annual Spirit of Christmas Food Drive. Customers can either drop off individual nonperishable products, purchase pre-assembled grab bags or purchase $1 or $5 scan coupons at the checkout. The food, along with a coupon for a free roasting hen, will be distributed locally to families in need of assistance.

Orders for Tim’s Fudge may be placed through Dec. 28. The cost is $20 for an 8-by-8-inch pan. Choices include chocolate, butterscotch, peanut butter, toffee, mint, dark chocolate and white chocolate, all with or without pecans. Proceeds will be used to benefit liver-transplant hopeful Janet Kafer through the South-Central Liver Transplant Fund.
