Chapelwood United Methodist Church women’s ministry will have its annual bake sale and bazaar 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday at 1004 N. Kings Highway. Jacob “Dude” Turner Memorial Auction and barbecue dinner fundraiser begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at Music City Texas, Linden, Texas. Donations will be accepted for the meal. Vanderhoof Garden Center will host a Typhoon Haiyon Relief fundraiser 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 8002 Hampton Road. Suggested items include bathroom and kitchen cleaning supplies, bleach, brooms, cooking supplies, dust pans, large trash bags, laundry detergent, mops, mop heads, steal wool pads, storage bags, all sizes of towels, window cleaner and men’s and women’s clothing. Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods are taking donations for their annual Spirit of Christmas Food Drive. Customers can either drop off individual nonperisha­ble products, purchase pre-assembled grab bags or purchase $1 or $5 scan coupons at the checkout. The food, along with a coupon for a free roasting hen, will be distribute­d locally to families in need of assistance.

Orders for Tim’s Fudge may be placed through Dec. 28. The cost is $20 for an 8-by-8-inch pan. Choices include chocolate, butterscot­ch, peanut butter, toffee, mint, dark chocolate and white chocolate, all with or without pecans. Proceeds will be used to benefit liver-transplant hopeful Janet Kafer through the South-Central Liver Transplant Fund.
