JOHN EGGER
NASHVILLE, Ark.—John Seaborn Egger, 79, of Nashville died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, in Nashville.
Mr. Egger was born Oct. 3, 1934, in Mena, Ark. He was a retired Corporal with the Arkansas State Police Troop G, Hope, Ark., former chief deputy for Polk County, a Mena police officer, a 32nd degree Mason, past Master of Pleasant Valley Lodge No. 30, Nashville, past Patron of Elberta Chapter 538 Order of the Eastern Star, Nashville, a member of Bingen United Methodist Church and a Korean War Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Samantha Egger.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Egger of Nashville; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David and Brenda Egger of Mena and Kenneth Egger of Hempstead, Texas; one brother and sister-inlaw, Don and Delphia Egger of Arkadelphia, Ark.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Buck Byford of Waldron, Ark., and Karen and Jerry Walters of Mena; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church with James Harris and David Blase officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Mena, under direction of Nashville Funeral Home.
