September 29, 1924 - June 9, 2014

-

Our precious and beloved mother, mema, Mary E. Joyner, was called home to be with her savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 9, 2014 at her home. Mary was born September 29, 1924 in Boxelder, Tx to the late Carl and Deliah Hargett. She was retired from D&Z and a member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church. Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Amy Hedges and Martha Belcher, one brother Joe Hargett.

Mary was a devoted Christian who loved sharing Christ with others and never met a stranger. She loved working in her beautiful yard, praying for others, playing patty cake with her grandbabies and traveling with friends. Her biggest joy in life was simply being with her family. They were the center of her world and she was of ours. Mary was an inspiration to everyone who met her. When she would walk in a room, you couldn’t help but smile at her. Her smile was contagious and so was her love for life.. Today we know she can hear our stories and all the laughter of her little babies and that is a huge blessing to us.

Survivors include her four children; Shirley Cobb, Kathy Williams, Bob and Rita Joyner, Burt and Sandra Joyner all of Texarkana, Tx, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great greats as well as many loving family members and friends.

Memorial will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 2:00, Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Nash, TX with Bro Todd Reed officiating.

Online tributes may be made www.eastfuneralhomes.com.
