NELDA SMITH

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Nelda Naomi Smith, 67, of Maud, Texas, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at her home.

Ms. Smith was born March 10, 1947, in Texarkana, Texas. She was employed with the Texarkana College maint en an c e department and a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Maud.

Survivors include two daughters, Tonda Burnett and Janiece Smith; her mother, Doris Anthony; seven grandchildren, Tasha Plunkett, Tami Jones, Jamie Atkinson, Amanda Lamb, Steven Atkinson, Corey Atkinson and Kyle Burnett; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Friendship Baptist Church with Floyd Tuckett officiating under direction of Comforter Funeral Home.
