Jimmie Dale Daugherty, age 79, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at St. Michael Hospital. He was born to J.D. and Minnie Daugherty on July 11, 1935 in Lewisville, Arkansas. He was retired from Beaird Industries in Shreveport, Louisiana after 40 years. Mr. Daugherty was a cattle famer and he loved to garden, hunt and fish. He was a member of Canfield Baptist Church.

Mr. Daugherty was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother and sister-in-law, Gale and Betty Daugherty; and sister, Dorothy Ward.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Daugherty of Canfield, AR; two sons, Roger Daugherty and wife, Tina of Hatfield, AR and Jeff Daugherty and wife, Tammy of Fouke, AR; daughter, Teresa Daugherty of Ashdown, AR; two brothers, Bobby Daugherty of Houston, TX and Glen Daugherty of Alton, MO; one brother-in-law, Winfred Ward of Canfield, AR; seven grandchild­ren, Jackson Daugherty, Shelby Daugherty, Summer Myers and husband, Dalton of Hatfield, AR; Hunter Daugherty of Fouke, AR, Michael Powell and wife, Britni of Bossier City, LA, Billy Fisk and wife Krista of Genoa, AR, Jennifer Buse and husband, Tyson of Amarillo, TX; four great grandchild­ren, Carson Buse, Sierra Buse, Bragen Fisk and Tatum Fisk.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with Bro. Charles Bell and Bro. Jerry Hutchings officiatin­g. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:008:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Memorials may be made to Canfield Baptist Church.
