Life House hosts the Bowling Family

Nationally known gospel group the Bowling Family will be in concert 7 p.m. Friday at Life House Ministries with a pre-show at 6:30 p.m.

The trio’s award-winning members include Mike and Kelly Bowling, their daughter Hope and longtime friend Troy Peach.

Mike’s ministry has included performing with the LeFevres, New Hinsons and the Perrys.

After marrying Kelly Crabb, he ministered with the Crabb Family, as well as working as a solo artist for several years. Kelly performed with the Crabb Family for more than 15 years, during which time they received 11 Dove Awards and three Grammy nomination­s. Hope and Troy officially joined them in 2013.

The Bowling Family has appeared in the Gaither Homecoming series of concerts and videos, on Trinity Broadcasti­ng Network and at the Gospel Music Associatio­n’s Seminar in the Rockies. Their debut release, “Faith to Believe,” has produced four No. 1 songs including “We Have a Savior,” “Your Cries Have Awoken the Master,” “A Miracle Today” and “Notified.” In addition, “Your Cries Have Awoken the Master” was named 2008 Song of the Year.

Advanced tickets are $10, $20 at the gate and $5 for children 10 and younger and may be purchased at Unity Baptist Church in Hope, Ark., or the Baptist Book Store in Texarkana, Texas. Group discounts are available through RDH Promotions at 903-792-3011. A limited number of tickets is available free based on financial need for those with a hardship wishing to attend.
