L-EISD trustees expected to approve $6.5 million tax roll
Trustees of Liberty-Eylau Independent School District will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the boardroom, 2901 Leopard Drive, Texarkana, Texas.
Agenda items include student and staff recognition and a public hearing on the Schools FIRST State Accountability Financial Rating, which assesses the quality of financial management in Texas public schools.
In other business, a financial report will be presented, along with a superintendent’s report on entry and withdrawal.
Consent agenda items include September 2015 expenditures, an investment report and 201516 transfer students.
Members will also review and consider the official audit report for the school year ending June 30 and a revision of the District Alternative Education Placement Classification in the 2015-16 Student Code of Conduct. Approval of the 2015 $6.5 million tax roll is expected, along with a first reading on Policy Update 103, which includes post-legislative and law changes from the 84th Legislative Session. It will also address the new Education Department General Administrative Regulations.
A closed session to discuss personnel matters is also planned. Information items include the budget calendar, the state of Texas’ proclamation on Principal’s Month and planning for the Team of Eight Training, scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 27 in the boardroom.
