Ethel Lorene Turney, 96, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, in a local hospital. Mrs. Turney was born Dec. 9, 1918, in Beebe, Ark. She was the retired co-owner of Many Items Flea Market, 67 Flea Market and Turney Upholstery. She was a member of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Nedra Turney of Texarkana; one daughter, Carol Turney Akin of Arab, Ala.; six grandchildren, Michael Turney of Shreveport, La., Patricia Turney Beth of Texarkana, Christie Turney Loveless of Cumming, Ga., Becky Akin Lake of Huntsville, Ala., Todd Akin of Arab, and Melissa Akin Pritchett of Cave Springs, Ga.; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Burial arrangements under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Ark.

Family will receive friends Wednesdays at the funeral home 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The family will be at the Turney home, 6301 East Broad St., Texarkana, AR.
