Robert Neil Goodwin

Robert Neil Goodwin was born August 9, 1932 in Texarkana, Texas to Lonza and Ethyl Spencer Goodwin. As a young man he was saved at Eylau United Methodist Church. After 40 years of hard work and faithful service, Neil retired from the Natural Gas and Pipeline Company of America. After retirement you would often find Neil at the Marshall Life Center where he enjoyed working out with his friends. To relax he would often sit down with a crossword puzzle. He took great pride in all that he did and his yard is a reflection of that pride. Neil enjoyed spending time maintaining and manicuring his yard. While he enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes, what brought him the most joy was spending time with his friends and family. Neil was a true believer in the word of God and he loved the Lord.

Those left to cherish the many memories of Neil Goodwin are his son, Charles “Chip” Goodwin and his girlfriend, Nancy Sevier; his special friend, Patsy Smith and her daughter, Patti Thomas; many friends and other extended family.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Lonza and Ethyl Goodwin; his wife, Wanda Goodwin; brother, Perry Goodwin and sister, Myrlis Strube.

No public service will be held. His family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
