Six suspects nabbed in area burglaries
Six suspects, who have allegedly stolen about $5,000 worth of property, have been arrested and will have their first court appearance today in the Little River County Circuit Court in Ashdown, Ark.
An estimated $5,000 worth of stolen property has been recovered by the Little River County Sheriff’s Department, Sgt. Kenneth Ruppel said.
The investigation has also resulted in the arrest of six suspects who remain in the Little River and Sevier county jails.
The suspects, who were recently arrested and live in the Foreman area, are Donna Blankenship, Tommy Blankenship,
Shane Ellis, Sheena Pack, Larry Crutchfield and Cheryl Shoemaker. No ages were available.
The stolen property ranged from beds and televisions to small ornaments.
“We have two offices full of recovered items and we’re still inventorying,” Ruppel said.
The suspects were arrested for breaking and entering, theft of property and theft by receiving.
“Most of the doors were unlocked,” Ruppel said.
“After people hear about the burglaries, we expect more people will come forward and report their missing property,” he added.
The investigation was directed by Ruppel, Chief Deputy Dave
Hall and Capt. Gina Butler.
