KIRBY, Ark.—Genoa Central varsity girls' squad defeated Foreman in the semifinals of the Kirby High School Invitation­al Tournament.

Emeisha Fields led all scorers, dropping a game-high 20 points for the Lady Trojans.

OBU-signee Eden Crow, paced the Lady Dragons (8-0) attack scoring 19 points in the win.

Genoa Central will play the winner of the Kirby/Blevins game on Saturday at 6 p.m.

GLADEWATER, Texas—LibertyEyl­au dismantled Kilgore in varsity boys' hoops.

L-E was led by a offensive onslaught by Decorian Phillips. Phillips' 25 points propelled the Leopards (3-1) to victory and on to face Jefferson today at 3 p.m.

Ajon Gray dropped 13 points for L-E as well.

HALLSVILLE TOURNAMENT

HALLSVILLE, Texas—Texas Middle School throttled Whitehouse in 8th grade boys' hoops, 58-9.

Ben DePriest led the

Tigers offensivel­y, scoring a game-high 19 points. Teammate Caleb Arnold dropped 11 points in the Tiger victory.

The 8th grade Tigers continue action Saturday at 11:20 a.m. in Hallsville.

TMS' 8th grade B squad lost to Whitehouse, 32-28.

Cahari Weekly led the Tigers scoring eight points. Keenan Vason also scored six points for TMS.

TMS is back in action in Hallsville Saturday at 9 a.m.

The 7th grade Tigers defeated Whitehouse, 47-21.

A trio of Tigers scorched the Wildcats defense. Braylan Stewart, Jayden Godwin and Tamarcus Denmark all dropped 11 points for the Tiger squad.

The 7th grade are back in action on Saturday in Hallsville at 11:20 a.m.
