Pleasant Grove
Trustees of Pleasant Grove Independent School District will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to interview candidates for the Place 4 trustee position in closed session.
Applicants to be interviewed include Ross Sarine, Stephanie Carpenter, Lamoya Burks and Debora Shidemantle.
Jeff Harris resigned the Place 4 seat in March after nine years of service to the district.
The meeting will be held in the Central Services, 8500 N. Kings Highway, Texarkana, Texas.
Wake Village
Wake Village City Council will meet and hear a municipal financial audit report for last year during their 6 p.m. meeting today at Wake Village City Hall, 624 Burma Road. The report will be delivered by the Texarkana, Texas-based Wilf and Henderson accounting firm.
The council also will consider denying an application that Southwestern Electric Power Company made to the state in December to change the city’s electric power rates.

Commissioners Court
NEW BOSTON, Texas—Figuring out how to pay for a new roof for the courthouse will be the main topic of the Bowie County Commissioners Court meeting at 10 a.m. today.
Commissioners will discuss taking action on possible changes in the county’s budget in order to cover expenditures to replace the courthouse’s original 32-year-old roof.
Last month, the Commissioners Court agreed to hire the Texarkana, Texas-based RBT Roofing firm to replace the courthouse’s roof for $191,225.
In other business, commissioners will consider declaring some county property as surplus and ready for sale.
Nash
Nash City Council will meet and hear a municipal financial audit report for last fiscal year during their 6 p.m. meeting today at Nash City Hall, 119 Elm St.
Kelly Birdwell, an accountant with the Texarkana, Texas-based Wilf and Henderson accounting firm, will make the presentation.
Council members also will consider hiring a management consultant to aid the city in residential and infrastructure planning related to the state’s Home Grant Program. The city receives these funds through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to build homes on residential sites that have been demolished.
