AHS golfer Eppinette shoots 65

Arkansas High returns to action today in Frisco

ARLINGTON, Texas—Arkansas High junior Ethan Eppinette shot 65 at the Lake Arlington Golf Course during the Texas Junior Golf Associatio­n Tournament.

Arkansas High sophomore Mason May shot 89 and placed 10th in the 18-hole golf tournament.

COMMERCE, Texas—Liberty-Eylau Lady Leopards track team finished runners-up in the team competitio­n at the Region II-4A Track and Field Championsh­ips, held at Texas A&MCommerce.

The Lady Leopards won the 4x200 meter relay and the 4x400 meter relay.

Ronnece Galloway, Lamiah George, Shamjai Childs and Styler Bailey ran a season best 1:40.61 in the 4x200 meter relay to win gold.

Bailey, George, Lauren George and Helensia Green ran a state-leading time of 3:53.51 in the 4x400 meter relay to qualify for the state meet.

Lamiah George qualified for state in the 200 meter dash and Toni Reynolds qualified in the 300 meter hurdles.

MAUD, Texas—Maud’s varsity baseball squad run-ruled Rivercrest in five innings.

Cameron Mills received the win on the hill for the Cardinals.

Gage Jones led Maud at the plate, going 3 for 3, adding two RBI on the night.

Cade Townsend, Adam Roberts, Rayne Bailey and Hunter Thomas, each went 2 for 3 at the dish for the Cardinals in the rout.
