Gene Burns
Gene Paul Burns, age 80, of Nash, Texas, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 in a local hospice facility.
Mr. Burns was born October 3, 1936 in Baytown, Texas. He was an Off-shore Construction Consultant and a charter member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church, Baytown.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Lea, of Nash; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Adrian Castillo of Baytown and Paula and Chad Hosel of Baytown; three stepchildren and their spouses, Pam and David McWilliams of Wilton, Arkansas, Theresa and Donnie Wallace of Texarkana, Arkansas and John Lea of Texarkana, Arkansas; one sister, Suzanne Burns Hooper of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; one brother-in-law and his wife, Lewis and Deanna Gildon of Nash; former son-inlaw, Jamie Johnston of Baytown; four grandchildren, Addison Johnston, Taylor Johnston, Teryn Burns and Garrett Cobb; four step-grandchildren, Candace Wallace, Randy Wallace, David Wayne McWilliams and Amanda Lea; three nephews, Leonard Hooper, Christopher Hooper, and Jeffrey Hooper; and ten greatgrandchildren and many relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Orville Farren officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
Interment will take place at a later date in Baytown, Texas.
