TC Foundation lands grant for class equipment
The Texarkana College Foundation received $20,000 Monday from the Arconic Foundation to purchase equipment for the school’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math department. Through a partnership with Arconic, TC will purchase two Sosmo anatomy models, allowing the school to offer more sections of high-demand anatomy and physiology courses. A stateof- art Fisher Scientific Compound Digital microscope will also be purchased.

grams so that our graduates are trained and ready when they enter the workforce. ”
Katie Andrus, executive director of the TC Foundation, said this is the second year in a row that Arconic has made a grant to TC for upgrading the college’s technical training equipment.
“Strong community partnerships are so important to maintaining TC’s high standards for workforce and career training,” Andrus said.
The primary goal of Arconic Foundation is to advance STEM education and training worldwide, with a special emphasis on engaging and creating access for underrepresented and underserved groups. The Arconic Foundation is an independently endowed foundation with assets of approximately $320 million and is the charitable arm of Arconic Inc.
