Eppinette, Hog golfers top Yellowjack­ets

Ethan Eppinette shot an even-par 71 Monday for Arkansas High to take medalist honors against Sheridan at New Haven Golf Club.

The Razorbacks topped the

Yellowjack­ets, 350-383.

Dylan Adcock turned in a 79 for Arkansas High, which hosts the City Tournament Wednesday at New Haven. Reece Jones had a 93, MasonMay and Chris Roberts both scored 97, and Cody Adcock had a 116.

FOOTBALL Hogs win pair

North Heights won a pair of junior high games against Ashdown.

Marjevion Cummings scored a touchdown on a 60-yard jaunt and also had a pair of 2-point conversion­s tohelp North Heights’ ‘A’ team top Ashdown, 16-6. Jake Ledford also had a 2-yard TD plunge.

The Razorbacks won the ‘B’ game, 22-14, with touchdowns from Nathan Campbell, Ty Waide and Teshawn Hawthorne, who also had a 2-point conversion. Gage Brock also ran for a 2-pointer.

North Heights will be back in action Thursday when it hosts Mount Pleasant with all four teams playing.

VOLLEYBALL TMS splits

Texas Middle School won the 8th grade match over Sulphur Springs, which won the 7th grade contest.

Lauren Allred served 15 points and Alex Reed 12 for TMS’ 8th graders in an 11-25, 25-19, 25-12 win.

Emma Price served five for the 7th grade team during a 25-17, 25-18 loss.

Texas Middle School hosts the annual TMS volleyball tournament Saturday.

Our next game will be on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Texas Middle School when we host the Annual TMS Volleyball Tournament.

Lady Pirates share spoils

SIMMS, Texas—James Bowie won the 8th grade match over Detroit but lost in the 7th grade competitio­n.

Chloe Caddenhead served 13 winners for the Lady Pirate 8th grade in a 25-22m 25-20 win.

Andi Roberts served six for JB during a 25-21, 25-15 loss in the 7th grade.

Lady Dragons claim 4

HOOKS, Texas—Redwater won all four middle school matches over host Hooks.

Markaylon Jones had 16 winners for the Lady Dragons’ 7th grade ‘A’ team during a 25-5, 25-19 win. Brooke Usrey added seven for Redwater, and Ale Jefferson and Natalie Whitten scored seven and six, respective­ly, for the Lady Hornets. Redwater won the ‘B’ match, 25-18, 16-13.

The Dragons took the 8th grade ‘A’ game, 25-16, 26-24, with Kendal Missildine serving 11 points for Redwater and Coop Frachiseur adding six. Makayla Duhon had six for Hooks. Redwater wonthe ‘B’ match, 25-19, 23-10.

NL downs L-E

North Lamar won four matches over host Liberty-Eylau, inlcuding a 25-15, 25-10, decision in the 8th grade ‘A’ match. Kaclyn Nelson led the Lady Leopards with seven points.

Isla Hubbard served 18 points for the Lady Leopard 7th grade ‘A’ team during a 25-14, 16-25, 25-18 loss.

NL won the 8th grade ‘B’ contest, 25-6, 25-9, with Khalia Cleghorn serving three, and Sanaya Nixon had five for L-E’s 7th grade ‘B’ team in a 25-23, 16-13 ;oss.

Lady Hawks top Paris

PARIS, Texas—Pleasant Grove won four matches over host Paris, including a 25-17, 25-21 8th grade ‘A’ game.

Hallie Lipham served eight points for the Lady Hawks, who wonthe ‘B’ match, 25-16, 25-15, behind Ramsey Noble’s 12 points.

Addison Koller had 16 points for PG’s 7th grade ‘A’ team in a 25-9, 25-8 win. Anna Guan served 14 winners for the ‘B’ team win a 25-15, 25-12 win.

Pewitt, DeKalb split

OMAHA-NAPLES, Texas—Paul Pewitt won the 8th grade match over DeKalb, 25-15, 25-14, with AUbrey Neuman serving 13 for the Lady Brahmas and Samantha Mongognia adding seven.

The Lady Bears wonthe 7th grade match, 25-18, 25-17. Ashawni Cooper served 10 points fpr Paul Pewitt.

Lady Mustangs sweep

RED LICK, Texas—Red Lick swept four matches against Daingerfie­ld.

Red Lick won the 8th grade A match, 25-22, 25-7, with Ann Elise Lindsay serving 12 and Izzy Daniels nine. The Lady Mustang “b” team won 25-8, 25-15, behind Delaney Edwards’ 22 winners.

RL took a 25-12, 25-13 win in the 7th grade ‘A’ match, with Ally Smith serving 16 and Molly Black 14. Red Lick won the ‘B’ match, 25-23, 14-26. Novalee hensel and Malachi Dawson each had four points.
